Just before 3 p.m. on June 3, Marysville Fire District crews were dispatched to a residential fire in the 16600 block of McRae Road, where they found approximately half of a double-wide mobile home engulfed in flames. Crews quickly contained the fire, but not before it caused substantial damage.

When the Marysville Cooperative Education Program at Quil Ceda Elementary found itself without a science specialist this school year, Co-Op third-grade teacher Shawn Jenkins turned to her dad, retired Shoreline School District teacher Ed Orsborn, to help inject some science into the studies of the 48 third-graders taught by herself and Elizabeth Bray at the school.
