Residential fire in Marysville displaces family of four

Just before 3 p.m. on June 3, Marysville Fire District crews were dispatched to a residential fire in the 16600 block of McRae Road, where they found approximately half of a double-wide mobile home engulfed in flames. Crews quickly contained the fire, but not before it caused substantial damage.

Jim Pankiewicz has spent 34 of his 36 years as an educator teaching at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, so it’s no wonder that, to his students, to their parents, and to the surrounding business community, he’s simply known as “Mr. P,” because with three and a half decades there, the M-PHS marketing teacher and DECA advisor has practically become an institution.
