Community members, law enforcement and first responders gathered at the Police and Firefighters Memorial at the Marysville Library on Sept. 11 to remember not only those who lost their lives nine years ago, but a fallen firefighter of their own.
Just after 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 10, Marysville Police were dispatched to a fast food restaurant located in the 17300 block of 27th Ave. NE to investigate an assault with a weapon complaint.
MARYSVILLE — Shoultes Elementary’s playground got a touch-up just in time for the start of the school year, thanks to the C&D Zodiac Aerospace company.
Approximately 30 company employees from Marysville and California converged at the school Sept. 3 to lay down fresh coats of paint on the blacktop, re-gravel the track and refurbish the baseball dugouts, with funds from the company’s Give and Grow foundation.

Fourteen citizens applied to fill the vacancy on the City Council to succeed Councilmember Jon Nehring, who stepped down when he was appointed to serve as Mayor last August. Of those, one applicant has since dropped out.
“If you want to visit a house where there is a sustained odor, I have it down to a schedule when we smell it, and you are more than welcome to come to my house,” Marysville resident Suavek Lobrow said at the Marysville Boys & Girls Club Sept. 9.

The public is welcome to attend the ceremony, which commences at 8:30 a.m. at 6120 Grove St.
