MARYSVILLE — The Marysville Diversity Advisory Committee and the Marysville Arts Coalition are teaming up to conduct the city’s first-ever diversity art contest.
MARYSVILLE — Dr. Tony Byrd of Edmonds became the first of the Marysville School District’s three superintendent finalist candidates to greet the public during their visits and interviews to the district from Monday, March 25, through Wednesday, March 27.
The Marysville School District Board of Directors has selected three candidates as finalists for Superintendent: Dr. Becky Berg (Deer Park, Wash.), Dr. Carl Bruner (Mount Vernon, Wash.), and Dr. Tony Byrd (Edmonds, Wash).
MARYSVILLE — The city of Marysville invites the public to a special meeting to share ideas for not only revitalizing the downtown and waterfront areas, but also ways to create a more vibrant, pedestrian-friendly downtown.

MARYSVILLE — The Adopt A Stream Foundation will be planting several hundred trees and shrubs along 900 feet of Allen Creek on Saturday, March 23, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., next to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, located at 9311 67th Ave. NE in Marysville, and they’re looking for volunteers to help them out by pitching in that day.

OLYMPIA — State representatives John McCoy and Mike Sells will join state Sen. Nick Harper for a 38th Legislative District telephone town hall from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 14. McCoy, Sells and Harper’s constituents in the 38th District will be able to talk live to the delegation about the 2013 legislative session.
