MARYSVILLE — The Operation Marysville Community Christmas Toy Store needs more toys for those who wouldn’t have presents otherwise.

OMCC has more than 1,200 children registered this year, with 100 children registering Dec. 14 alone. Marysville Community Food Bank Director Joyce Zeigen reported that donations are down this year.

Everyone who wishes to register with OMCC must show proof that they live in Marysville, and the toy store is open Dec. 17-19.

Donations of toys can be dropped off at the Dunn Lumber and Pawn X-change building, at 1105 State Ave., as well as at the city of Marysville Parks office, at Jennings Park, or at any fire station in Marysville.

The highest needs are as follows:

• Large items valued at $15 or more.

• For babies, ride-on toys and educational toys, but no stuffed animals, with 96 more items requested.

• For boys and girls ages 3-8, craft kits, Legos, educational toys and games, but no cars, with 181 more items requested.

• For boys ages 9-12, higher level Legos, Bionicle, games, skateboards, skateboard gear and gift cards, with 150 more items requested.

• For boys ages 13-17, camping gear, fishing gear, skateboards, skateboard gear and gift cards, with 144 more items requested.
