No garbage collection on Thursday for Marysville residents served by Waste Management

Waste Management Northwest announced Thursday morning that there would be no residential collection in Arlington and Marysville due to a strike by Teamsters Local 174. The service disruption affects King and Snohomish county customers.

Waste Management Northwest announced early Thursday morning that there would be no residential collection in Arlington and parts of Marysville due to a strike by Teamsters Local 174. The service disruption affects King and Snohomish county customers.

Residential Customers

• No residential collection service will be provided in Waste Management’s service areas throughout King and Snohomish Counties. This includes all cities served by Waste Management in King and Snohomish County.

• If your garbage and yardwaste collection was scheduled for today, we will collect up to twice the regular amount of garbage and yard waste next Thursday, April 29.

• Recyclables will be picked up on your next scheduled collection day

Commercial Customers

• Waste Management will not collect garbage or recyclables from commercial customers today.

The cities of Arlington and Marysville both contract with Waste Management. All residents who live within the cities of Arlington and Marysville are required to subscribe to recycling services provided by the company.

Garbage pickup is also provided by the company to those who live in all of Arlington. The city of Marysville collects garbage from all residents who live in the city limits with the exceptions of the Sunnyside and central annexation areas where the garbage is collected by Waste Management.
