Naval Station Everett hosts retiree seminar

A retiree seminar for all United States Uniformed Services will be held at Naval Station Everett, Saturday, May 23 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Commons building. The seminar is free and open to all authorized military ID cardholders.

EVERETT — A retiree seminar for all United States Uniformed Services will be held at Naval Station Everett, Saturday, May 23 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Commons building. The seminar is free and open to all authorized military ID cardholders.

Military retirees and their spouses from all branches of the United States Uniformed Services are invited and encouraged to attend this important annual seminar. Topics to be covered include policies and procedures that affect retired personnel, their families and surviving spouses, earned entitlements, eligibility and legislative changes to programs and services. Surviving spouses are encouraged to attend this seminar to find out about benefits and resources available to them after their loved ones have passed. The Keynote speaker for the event is retired Maj. Gen. William M. Matz, president of the National Association of Uniformed Services.

Speakers at the event will include representatives from the Defense Finance Accounting Service, Delta Dental, Naval Station Everett’s Branch Medical Clinic, Legal Services and Fleet and Family Readiness. Information tables will be available throughout the seminar.

Information tables will open at 8 a.m. Presentation of Colors will begin promptly at 9 a.m. Formal briefings will conclude at 2 p.m.
