STANWOOD The N.O.A.H. Animal Adoption Center announced that it will cut its regular adoption fee to $25 until December 25 for animals that have been in the center for more than 25 days.
With its latest campaign, Decorate Your Home with a Furry Companion, N.O.A.H. is joining paws with more than 2,100 pet adoption centers in an event organized to raise awareness of the joys of owning shelter-adopted pets.
This year we hope to find homes for all of the pets in our adoption center. We have many lovable animals who have been waiting to find their new families for more than 25 days. One has been waiting for 233 days, Executive Director Austin Gates said.
To help N.O.A.H. will lower their adoption fee to $25 through December 25.
All of our adoptable animals are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, and vaccinated. These are wonderful, healthy, adoptable pets just looking for a warm spot in front of the fireplace to curl up on. The holidays can be a wonderful time to open your home to a new pet. Many people have time off in which they can help their new companion acclimate to their new surroundings, said Gates. Consider adopting an adult cat or dog, they are more likely to be housetrained and probably not as interested in climbing your Christmas tree or chewing up the ornaments.
Those interested in adopting a pet can visit N.O.A.H. at 31300 Brandstrom Rd. in Stanwood, seven days a week Monday Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m.to 5 p.m.. For information call 360-629-7055 or visit the Web site at www.thenoahcenter.org.
