M’ville offers free classes to learn how to survive and help in a disaster

MARYSVILLE – The city is offering free Community Emergency Response Team training to help residents if a disaster strikes.

MARYSVILLE – The city is offering free Community Emergency Response Team training to help residents if a disaster strikes.

The training will run Tuesdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. beginning Sept. 22 and ending Nov. 10 at Marysville Fire Station 66. Registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 18.

The program educates community members about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic response skills – including fire safety, search and rescue, and medical operations.
