MARYSVILLE City engineers and planners will hold court for area builders and developers this week at their development services breakfast at Cedarcrest Restaurant and Grill, Friday, March 16 at 7 a.m.
The meeting will touch on many areas of interest to builders, including the permit turnaround times and statistics for 2006 and how Marysville plans to digest the huge tracts of land and citizens it has swallowed in various annexations over the last two years. Some of those areas will be master-planned to include transportation, water and sewer lines and city engineers will explain how that is progressing. Staff will also discuss how changes to zoning and engineering standards might affect their land and projects.
Also up for discussion are building code updates for 2007, traffic impact fees and public works projects that would likely affect the building community.
We basically just give an annual update of projects planned for Marysville that might interest the development community, said Marysville Community Development director Gloria Hirashima. We give, hopefully, a quick over view.
Last years breakfast got good reviews from builders taking a couple hours out of their busy schedules, even if they were on a golf course. To RSVP email the city at Belinda@ci.Maryville.wa.us or phone the Public Works Department at 360-363-8100.
