MARYSVILLE — The Marysville School District’s annual “Information Fair” and kindergarten registration will take place this year Jan. 29 from 9-11 a.m. in the Totem Middle School cafeteria, located at 1605 Seventh St.

School staff and district members, along with community partnership groups, will answer questions and provide information that’s intended to be both supportive and useful on the subject of various programs and resources available to students and parents alike.

The Information Fair will offer families the opportunity to register children for kindergarten for the 2011-12 school year, and to meet staff members from their children’s schools. Translators will be available to assist parents in completing the registration information. Parents are asked to bring the originals of their children’s birth certificates and health and immunization records.

A district school bus will be on site for kids to explore, and they’ll even have a chance to meet the transportation mascot, Rudy the Raccoon.

Parents of fourth- and fifth-grade students will be given their annual opportunity to review the Growth and Development curriculum, while parents of fifth-graders will be able to do the same with the HIV curriculum. Videos will be shown on the hour, beginning at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., followed by question-and-answer sessions.
