MARYSVILLE – Marysville detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating two brothers, ages 3 and 2, who were taken by their biological mother during a recent visitation.

The grandmother of the boys, who is the appointed guardian, reported to police that her daughter, Tara M. Anderson-Miller, 30, had recently been released from the Snohomish County Jail. Miller was allowed to stay at the grandmother’s residence for a few days in order to visit with the children.

Sometime between 1-2:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, Miller left the residence with the boys and they have not been seen or heard from since, according to Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux of the Marysville Police Department. Detectives have checked locations where they possibly are located but have been unsuccessful in locating them and are now asking for the public to help locate the boys.

Miller is homeless and has drug dependency issues. She is deemed unfit to care for the boys. The boy’s grandmother was granted guardianship in April of 2013 by DSHS.

The boys are Malakai A. Miller, age 3, and Makai S. Miller, age 2. Both boys were last seen wearing gray/blue/yellow jackets. Malakai was also wearing black and gray sweatpants with black and blue tennis shoes, while Makai was wearing tan pants and orange and gray shoes.

Tara Miller is a white female, 5-05, with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing black Nike yoga pants, a pink tank top, and a black North Face jacket.

CPS has identified the boys as currently endangered and will take the boys into protective custody once located.
