Marysville Police arrest ‘unclothed’ man in shooting

On July 6, at approximately 6:38 p.m., Marysville Police Officers were dispatched to the 16600 block of 25th Avenue in the city of Marysville in reference to an unclothed adult male shooting a firearm.

MARYSVILLE – On July 6,  at approximately 6:38 p.m., Marysville Police Officers were dispatched to the 16600 block of 25th Avenue in the city of Marysville in reference to an unclothed adult male shooting a firearm.

When officers arrived on scene, they contacted the 72-year-old elderly Marysville male resident who was armed with a .32 caliber revolver. The male complied with the officers’ directions, dropped the firearm, and was taken into custody with no further incident.

Witnesses on scene stated they heard approximately two rounds fired by the suspect. The suspect admitted that he had in fact fired three rounds from the revolver prior to officers arriving. One round apparently was fired through the suspects’ own deck and was located by officers on scene. Witnesses further relayed they observed the suspect point the revolver at another male on scene and made threats to kill him.

The suspect was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for Assault in the 1st Degree, Indecent Exposure and Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm.
