On Tuesday, June 15, Marysville Detectives took an Everett man into custody for the May 20 robbery of Union Bank located in the 1000 block of State Ave.

Detectives had identified the robber as 34-year-old Acea Pryor early on in the investigation and had been looking for him for about two weeks. Pryor had been on the run since learning police were looking for him. On Tuesday he turned himself in stating, “Being on the run was too hard. It was no fun,” according to a release from the Marysville Police Department.

During the robbery Pryor gave the teller a demand note and threatened he had a gun.

Pryor confessed to detectives that he was responsible for committing the bank robbery. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for Robbery First Degree.

The case was highlighted in a recent airing of the television show Washington’s Most Wanted. “We received several tips from viewers whose information allowed us to continue to track Pryor;s whereabouts. We had the heat turned up one step behind him. I believe the pressure is what led him to turn himself in. We couldn’t have done it without the public’s assistance,” according to the release.
