Marysville Fire District honors 355 years of service

On Aug. 19, family, peers and the Marysville Fire District Board of Directors were present at an awards ceremony, honoring district members' years of service.

MARYSVILLE — On Aug. 19, family, peers and the Marysville Fire District Board of Directors were present at an awards ceremony, honoring district members’ years of service.

Those members who have completed five, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years of service were honored. All totaled, there were 355 years of service recognized, between 26 individuals.

“We need to celebrate this group for their years of service,” Marysville Fire Chief Greg Corn said. “It is a great commitment they have made to Marysville Fire District and the community.”

The Marysville Fire District provides fire and emergency medical services to the approximately 61,000 residents of Marysville, Seven Lakes and Quil Ceda Village, and has contracted response to the Smokey Point neighborhood of the city of Arlington, as well as surrounding parts of unincorporated Snohomish County.
