Marysville Fire District brings in more firefighters

The Marysville Fire District swore in four full-time firefighters and introduced seven part-time firefighters Dec. 16 at a regularly scheduled MFD Board of Directors meeting Dec. 16, to fill its vacant positions and maintain public safety in the community.

MARYSVILLE — The Marysville Fire District swore in four full-time firefighters and introduced seven part-time firefighters Dec. 16 at a regularly scheduled MFD Board of Directors meeting Dec. 16, to fill its vacant positions and maintain public safety in the community.

Chad Bonner, Christopher Mullen, Jacob Kuehn and Jenson Evans were all previously part-time firefighters with the fire district, and are now full-time firefighters. Kris Stewart, Justin Schoenborn, David Neyens, Tobin McGowan, Anthony Savage, Tyler Bottin and Justin Kestle are the district’s newest part-timers.

Kuehn and Evans were recently honored for their successful completion of the 12-week North Bend Firefighter Academy program.

Evans’ awards include a Chief’s Truck Company Award and Bulldog Award. Kuehn was awarded the Chief’s Engine Company Award and an Inspirational Award.

Once back from the recruit academy, Kuehn and Evans participated in a county-wide training and have joined fellow academy graduates Bonner and Mullen on shift.
