MARYSVILLE – A man wearing a dreadlock wig backwards robbed the Opus Bank in the 800 block of State Street Thursday.

Around 9:35 a.m. the man went into the bank, handed the teller a note and implied he had a weapon.

He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Sgt. Pete Shove said Friday evening that a K-9 team tried to track him, but the robber must have been picked up in a vehicle.

Shove said pictures of the robber are funny, but they won’t really help catch him.

“It’s like Cousin It” from Addams Family fame, Shove said.

The only description of the man is he is 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8. Because he wore the dreadlock wig backwards his face was covered up.
