Man killed by train in Marysville, 172nd Street reopens | UPDATED

Marysville police are investigating a fatal accident this morning after a pedestrian was struck by a train just north of the railroad crossing at 172nd Street in Marysville.

MARYSVILLE – Marysville police are investigating a fatal accident this morning after a pedestrian was struck by a train just north of the railroad crossing at 172nd Street in Marysville.

According to Cmdr. Robb Lamoureaux of the Marysville Police Department, collision investigators are on scene. The deceased is an unidentified male.

Due to the accident, 172nd Street was blocked by the train and was not passable by motorists. Lamoureaux announced at about 8:30 a.m. that the road had reopened.
