Locals win tickets to see Foreigner, CDs

TULALIP – Barbara Roy of Arlington was the grand-prize winner in the drawing for meet-and-greet tickets to see Foreigner at the Tulalip Amphitheatre Friday night.

TULALIP – Barbara Roy of Arlington was the grand-prize winner in the drawing for meet-and-greet tickets to see Foreigner at the Tulalip Amphitheatre Friday night.

But Arlene Klemme of Marysville ended up being the big winner. She placed fourth in the drawing, winning a CD. But Roy also invited her to be her guest at the meet-and-greet.

Three people won the Foreigner “Feels Like The First Time” three-package CD. There is a live version in Chicago, a new studio version of classic hits and an all-acoustic CD. Those winners are: Darrin Williams of Marysville, Darice Gamache of Spanaway and Klemme.

There were two other winners of the Foreigner “Unplugged” CD in concert. They are Audrey Hanson of Arlington and Marty Fecht of Lake Goodwin.

More than two-dozen contestants sent in their favorite Foreigner songs. The results, in order: I Wanna Know What Love Is; Jukebox Hero; It Feels Like the First Time; Hot Blooded; Cold as Ice; A Fool for You Anyway; Double Vision; Head Games: Waiting For a Girl Like You; and Blue Morning, Blue Day.

The contest was put on by The Marysville Globe-The Arlington Times in association with the Tulalip Resort Casino and Foreigner’s publicity agent, John Lappen of Las Vegas.
