MARYSVILLE – Hundreds of kids brought along adults to attend the first Kids Concert of the Marysville Summer Season today.
The concert was at noon at Jennings Park.
The entertainment was provided by Johnny Bregar & The Country Dawgs. They played songs young and old alike could singalong to. They also taught the kids some dance moves. And they handed out some instruments for them to play, such as ukuleles, tamborines and shakers.
Another concert with Eli Rosenblatt and Friends will take place July 27, with the final one Aug. 10 with Recess Monkey.
Family concerts start Friday night at 7 at Jennings Park with an Allman Brothers tribute band called Wasted Words. The next Friday is The Walrus (Beatles), followed by Creedence Rising (CCR and John Fogerty), Shake It Up (the Cars) and American Food (John Cougar Mellencamp).
Movies start Saturday night at 9 p.m. at Jennings Park with a new, bigger screen with “Minions,” followed by “Inside Out,” “Star Wars – The Force Awakens,” “Shaun the Sheep” and “The Good Dinosaur.”
