MARYSVILLE – A miracle’s happening Saturday, Dec. 4. Hounded by his dog Max, The Grinch will leave his resident mountain top high above Whoville and ride his personal float in the Electric Lights Parade during the 22nd Annual Merrysville for the Holidays winter celebration.

At 6:30 p.m. he’ll slither along in the Electric Lights Parade beginning at 1025 State Ave., landing in Comeford Park in downtown Marysville, just in time for the water tower lighting at 7 p.m.. The Grinch growled with his Grinch fingers nervously strumming “How am I to stop families from coming!”

Max has The Grinch hosting his Marysville Dog Owners Group (M-DOG) photo booth as repayment for the antler Whoville incident.

M-DOG is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit responsible for stewardship of Strawberry Fields for Rover Off-Leash Dog Park in north Marysville at 6100 152nd St. NE.

Families can bring cameras to the M-DOG holiday photo display booth or have Max’s professional photographer Melissa Wax from www.MelissaWax.com studio take keepsake photos for a fee.

M-DOG and Max have a doggone awesome basket to raffle valued at $487 including an item by renowned local artist Janet Wold, PupCakes Muffins bake-at-home package, woman’s paw print scarf and glove set, paw print mug, High Maintenance Bitch gift package set, Artisan Ink Tattoo and Piercing Gift Card, Jones & Co. Pets Gift Card, Paw Print canvas bag, ice cube trays and more. Raffle tickets are $5 each. The winner will be announced at 8 p.m. at the end of the event.
