Education and career fair coming to Tulalip Resort Casino

Tulalip youth and community members interested in pursuing a new career or going to college will soon have a chance to take the first step toward their goal.

TULALIP — Tulalip youth and community members interested in pursuing a new career or going to college will soon have a chance to take the first step toward their goal.

The Tulalip Tribes and Tribal Rights Employment Office are holding an education and career fair from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 3 at the Tulalip Resort Casino.

Attendees will be able to meet with representatives from local businesses, construction trades and colleges during the day-long event.

Scheduled colleges and universities include Columbia College, Northwest Indian College, University Center, the University of Washington, Edmonds Community College and Everett Community College.

Trade organizations and government officials will also be on hand representing Snohomish PUD, the Washington State Department of Transportation and the Northwest Carpenters Union.

Additionally, groups representing carpenters, plumbers, HVAC specialists, sprinkler fitters, electricians, pipe trades and other labor-related careers will be available to speak with.
