MARYSVILLE Snohomish County Public Works officials have announced several updates on road projects and related lane closures in and close to Marysville. The work sometimes includes water and sewer main work.
More information is available on some work than on others. The city and state are both conducting other road construction in the city as well. The basic county projects still underway are as follows:
This work affects the area of 122 Place NE and 51st Avenue NE.
On 122 Place, the county said the full street closure now in effect should last until Sept. 2. On 51st Avenue, a single lane closure is now in effect and will last through July 7. The single lane closure will change to a full road closure effective July 8 and last until Sept. 2.
According to City Engineer John Cowling, the county wants to raise what he called a dip in the road on 51st. According to the citys capital improvement plan, Marysville is responsible for relocating or replacing water and sewer lines as needed. Cost is estimated at $370,000 for the citys portion of the work.
The county said work will continue through July at the intersection of Marine Drive and 19th Avenue NE. A private contractor is installing a water main for the Tulalip Tribes, according to the county.
At South Tulare Way west of View Place in the Marysville area, a single lane closure will continue to be in effect through Oct. 31. The county said they are replacing the subgrade of the road. A vehicle weight restriction of 20,000 pounds and a width restriction of 10 feet will be in place during the construction.
