The Arlington Boys & Girls Club has announced that four of its members won first place in the Boys & Girls Club of Snohomish County Fine Arts Competition and their works have been sent to California for regional competition.
The local winners are Blake Fisher, 13, Jaina Harris, 12, Graham Brown, age 9, and Katelyn Dorsey, age 8. They were selected from among almost 50 entries from 13 clubs around Snohomish County. If these winners are selected for awards at regionals they will be forwarded to national competition, said Matt Evans, coordinator of art activities at the Arlington club.
I selected the pictures that I thought would do well in competition, Evans said.
The winning pieces were selected by artists in Snohomish.
We should be finding out the winners at regionals any day now, Evans said.
The artwork will be displayed for the public to view when it is returned further competitions.
