Boy, 16, in BMW arrested in reported drive-by shooting

MARYSVILLE – A 16-year-old Marysville boy is in custody after a drive-by shooting early Wednesday.

MARYSVILLE – A 16-year-old Marysville boy is in custody after a drive-by shooting early Wednesday.

The teen was booked into Denney Juvenile Justice Center in Everett on investigation of first-degree assault and weapons violations. He has prior felony convictions for illegal weapons possession, Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux reported.

The shooting around 1 a.m. was in the 4900 block of 135th Place NE. Residents reported that someone had shot up to six rounds into their house and a vehicle in the driveway.

Video cameras show the vehicle is a white four-door BMW. Officers located the vehicle and obtained a search warrant.

Around 3 p.m. police identified the suspect. While detectives were conducting surveillance of a Marysville house, the suspect left as a passenger in a vehicle. A high-risk traffic stop was made and the suspect arrested. Officers learned the gun used in the drive-by was inside the vehicle.
