MARYSVILLE — Marysville Police are investigating the death of a 73-year-old Marysville woman, found in her home on the morning of June 8.
A family member went to the victim’s residence, located in the 7100 block of 70th Avenue, to check on her, after not hearing from her over the weekend. The family member discovered the victim’s body, and called 911 for a medical response at approximately 10:45 a.m. June 8. Marysville Fire District personnel called for police shortly after determining the victim was deceased.
“It is safe to say the deceased was a victim of violence,” Marysville Police Cmdr. Rob Lamoureux said. “At this point, it is very early in the investigation, and investigators are trying to piece together what happened.”
Police are requesting the help of the public in locating a vehicle associated with the investigation, a 1998 red Buick Century, with a Washington state license plate whose number is 815USD. If someone locates the vehicle, or has information about its whereabouts, they should call 911 immediately.
Anyone who has information regarding the investigation itself should contact Marysville Police investigators at 360-363-8350.
