3 steal ATM; woman robbed at gunpoint

MARYSVILLE – Three men in a stolen red Ford Ranger pickup stole an ATM from the Marysville Fred Meyer July 13 just before 10 a.m.

MARYSVILLE – Three men in a stolen red Ford Ranger pickup stole an ATM from the Marysville Fred Meyer July 13 just before 10 a.m.

The men used a dolly to roll the ATM to the truck, police spokesman Robb Lamoureux said July 14. The ATM was located just inside the front entrance.

The truck was later found in north Marysville, minus the ATM, at about 4:45 p.m. It had been stolen in Arlington.

Police are waiting to receive store video so they can release photos so the public can help police capture the thieves.

Meanwhile, police also are looking for a man in a motorcycle helmet who robbed a woman at gunpoint July 10 at around 3 p.m. at the Village Motor Inn in the 200 block of Beach Avenue.

The 35-year-old victim was told to give the man her purse. She complied, and he fled on his motorcycle after making contact with a small blue vehicle, which police suspect also was involved somehow.
