Silvertips support Snohomish County law enforcement

On March 12, the Everett Silvertips will be offering a huge "thank you" to all officers and representatives of law enforcement in Snohomish County.

EVERETT — On March 12, the Everett Silvertips will be offering a huge “thank you” to all officers and representatives of law enforcement in Snohomish County.

The Silvertips’ game against the Seattle Thunderbirds March 12 will be part of a full law enforcement “night out,” with police-themed activities throughout the evening of the game.

Half of the proceeds raised through the event will go toward the families supported by the Snohomish County Law Enforcement Memorial Fund, which was recently created for the sole purpose of providing immediate financial assistance to the surviving spouses and minor children of any officers in Snohomish County who are killed in the line of duty. The fund operates on a donation and fundraising basis only.

“This is a way that residents of ‘Silvertip Country’ can help support this important fund, and also receive a ticket to the Silvertips’ game against the Thunderbirds,” said Kimberly McAvoy, spokesperson for the Silvertips.

Lower-level tickets are priced at $25, with upper-level tickets going for $20. There will also be 20 limited-edition, team-signed, law enforcement-themed hockey sticks that will be auctioned off during the March 12 game.

To order tickets to the game, contact Devon Wold at the Silvertips office, by phone at 425-609-2804 or by by e-mail.
