MARYSVILLE — “Psychic Friday Nights” made their debut at “Wit’s End” used books Oct. 9, and intuitive medium Ann Inman hopes this regular get-together will benefit those seeking to consult psychics and the “psychics in training” whom she’s mentoring.

Inman will continue giving monthly psychic readings at the Marysville BookWorks, and will start doing the same at Wit’s End, which is owned by her daughter. In the meantime, her Psychic Friday Nights at Wit’s End, from 6-9 p.m. each week, will offer those with alternative spiritual leanings an opportunity to receive readings and develop their own perceived abilities.

“This is my real job,” said Inman, who conducts readings for donations. “Everyone has different gifts, so I teach them different techniques to find out which filter for receiving information works for them.”

Inman’s curiosity about spirituality started at an early age, and has led her to travel the world and study with Tibetan and Celtic shamans. Those who attended the first Psychic Friday Night seemed to share Inman’s compulsion to learn more.

Geralyn Dirks came to the event with a “well-seasoned” 30-year-old Tarot deck, while fellow attendee Jean Jurgens has experienced premonitions all her life.

“I think this deck is magic,” Dirks laughed. “I’m amazed at what comes out of these cards, and how closely it fits people’s lives. One of my neighbors thanked me for giving her such a good reading that she quit having anxiety attacks. It’s not so much about reading the future as what’s going on in your life. It makes you reflective.”

Jurgens credited her premonitions with saving her life by helping her avoid a car accident. She believes that such intuitions are more common than many believe, and that receiving them is a matter of “tapping into your inner self.”

Inman also offers “ghost-busting” in the form of “table-clearing” seances, to help ghosts move on from their haunts, as well as channeling, in which she claims spirits speak through her. For more information, you can call 208-771-0037 or e-mail annemade@aol.com.
