MARYSVILLE — A day in the summer sun at the Strawberry Fields For Rover Off-Leash Dog Park made for some “hot dogs” at the eighth annual Poochapalooza by the Marysville Dog Owners Group July 12.

MARYSVILLE — Dave Coffey was born in Seattle on May 9, 1914, and he’s remained a Washington state resident all his life. On Saturday, May 10, Coffey and his family celebrated his 100th birthday, with Dave’s son, John, helping him recall his many achievements since he moved to Marysville in the late 1940s.
MARYSVILLE — Last year’s Bark For Life at Asbery Field drew at least 60 dogs and raised an estimated $3,000 for the Marysville Tulalip Relay For Life, so organizers are aiming to raise at least $5,000 this year, with a target of about 80 dogs for Saturday, May 17.

MARYSVILLE — The 20th annual free fishing derby at Jennings Park drew an estimated 1,000 attendees, including children aged 5-12 years and their families, to cast their lines into the stocked pool on Saturday, May 3, in spite of the threat of rain literally hanging over their heads.
MARYSVILLE — Art Limon hadn’t even heard anything about an art show in his hometown of Marysville, but when he wandered into the front doors of the former Dunn Lumber building on Grove Street, he found himself treated not only to the works of 19 different local artists, but also to the sounds of area musicians, and some samples of craft wine and spirits.
