MARYSVILLE — Third Street and Jennings Park will be hopping with Easter-themed events.

The downtown merchants of Third Street are partnering with Allen Creek Community Church to offer a “Fit-Tastic” Easter Egg Hunt March 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In addition to a bouncy house, free popcorn, coloring books, a story tent and “rappin’ rabbits,” the event will feature an obstacle course Easter egg hunt, in which children will perform a variety of physical fitness activities to collect their Easter eggs.

The “Fit-Tastic” Easter Egg Hunt will be open from noon to 1:30 p.m., or until all the eggs are gone. For Easter egg hunters 3 years and younger, more traditional egg hunts will take place at noon and 1 p.m.

The Jennings Park Barn, located at 6915 Armar Rd., will host its own annual Easter Egg Hunt April 3 from 10-11 a.m.

More than 10,000 plastic eggs filled with candy and prizes will be hidden in and around the Marysville Park Rotary Ranch, for Easter egg hunters as old as 8, with a limit of eight eggs per child.

Participants are asked to bring canned food items for the Marysville Community Food Bank, and to leave their pets at home.

The Jennings Park Easter Egg Hunt is presented by the city of Marysville Parks and Recreation Department, Steve Fulton State Farm Insurance, Marysville Rotary and Grandview Village.
