Join ‘making parenting a pleasure’ group

ARLINGTON – The Arlington Community Resource Center and Snohomish Health District are offering a free group for parents of children ages birth to four to help make parenting a pleasure.

Already underway, the group will meet for six weeks from 1-2:30 p.m. Sept. 19 and 26, and Oct. 3, 10 and 17 in the Group Room at the resource center, 18308 Smokey Point Blvd. at the Stillaguamish Senior Center.

Topics self-care and support for parents, child development and how it affects child learning and discipline and positive approaches to discipline. The groups are led by Public Health Nurses Debra Cartmell and Lucy McNeely, who share parent-tested strategies
