It was a hot August Night Out Against Crime in Marysville

MARYSVILLE – A hot August night must have kept some folks away from the city’s National Night Out Against Crime at Jennings Park Tuesday.

The usual city departments were there, but attendance was down.

Those who did come were treated to hot dogs, chips and popsicles. Marysville police were there to show visitors their Bearcat and other police vehicles. The Fire Department had an engine there. Visitors to a fire department booth could receive a plastic helmet with a choice of three colors, badges, etc. Girl Scouts had a booth there, and there was also information on domestic violence and bullying. Bags full of goodies from police also were available for kids.
