EVERETT — The Snohomish County Human Rights Commission and the Washington State Human Rights Commission will hold a joint public meeting on Thursday, Jan. 24, to discuss human rights issues and concerns in Snohomish County.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will be from 5 to 7 p.m. in Public Meeting Room 1 of the Robert Drewel Building, 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.

Residents are invited to come and let their voice be heard as well as to learn more about the county’s Human Rights Commission and its efforts.

“As our Human Rights Commission continues to delve into quality of life issues in Snohomish County, this is a great opportunity to hear the concerns of our residents,” said Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon.

“We are excited to partner with our State Commission to bring visibility to the human rights interests of Snohomish County citizens,” said the county’s Commission Chair Meg Winch. “This is an excellent example of government working collaboratively to bring attention and service to the local community.”
