MARYSVILLE – A Beatles tribute band and other groups helped draw festival goers to Asbery Field during the Marysville Strawberry Festival.

Along with music, crafters and vendors pitched up tents to form The Market. A Strawberry Shortcake Eating Contest brought in contestants of all ages Saturday. And the Kiwanis Beer Garden served beverages to raise money for local youth programs and scholarships for Maryvsille graduates.

Saturday’s music lineup, along with sunny skies, brought in the crowds starting with the Lonely Hearts Club followed by The Fabulous Murphtones and ending with Aardvarks United. Festival favorite No Rules performed Sunday.

Food vendors sold everything from elephant ears to shaved ice to corn dogs to, of course, strawberry shortcake.

Activities for kids included pony rides, putt putt golf, rock climbing, mini train rides and Euro Bungy Trampoline.
