Chicken Dinner Delay

The Stillaguamish Senior Center’s “Sunday Old Fashion Chicken Dinner” that is scheduled for June 30 and July 27 has to be cancelled due to the upgrading of the main hall of the Senior Center. The senior center truly appreciates understanding concerning this issue and hopes to see everyone at the August Chicken Dinner. The other activities that go on in the main hall of the senior center will continue, however, some of them may be moved to other areas of the senior center.

Seeking woman singers

Save slides/negatives

The Stillaguamish Valley Genealogical Society located at 135 North Olympic Avenue in downtown Arlington will have a librarian on duty June 12, 1 – 4 p.m., who can take your precious slides and negatives and make photographs out of them while you wait. Mary Buzzell will be available to do this on the second Tuesday afternoon each month. The cost for each 4 x 6 photograph is $1, payable by check or cash. Investment Seminar

Old Time Fiddlers

Arlington Idol Auditions

Auditions for an Arlington Idol contest to be held in conjunction with the Arlington Street Fair will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 14 at Movement Arts, 3502 204th St. NE near Island Crossing. Singers aged 16 and up are eligible. The selected contestants will compete at 6 p.m. Friday, July 11 as a part of the street fair entertainment. Walking Program

Marysville Parks and Recreation’s free Healthy Communities Walking program is sponsored by Gold’s Gym. Walkers meet at various parks in Marysville for ten weeks, Saturdays, 10 – 11 a.m., June 14 to August 16. They will be guided by trainers from Gold’s Gym who will lead warm-up and cool-down stretches. Each walker will receive a trial pass to Gold’s Marysville or Arlington facilities. M-PHS golf benefit

M-PHS Booster Club’s Golf Tournament, Saturday, June 14, at Cedarcrest Golf Course in Marysville. The two, or four, person Scramble will begin with a 2 p.m. shotgun start. $85 per person includes greens fees, cart, lunch and prizes. Disc golf tournaments

Action Sports presents Saturday Singles and Sunday Doubles Disc Golf Tournaments. First and third Saturdays of the month and the second and fourth Sundays of the month at 1:30 p.m. Open to teens and adults of all abilities, $12 for tournament entry. Poochapalooza

Everett Community College is seeking host families for Japanese high school students visiting the college July 19 to Aug. 2. The Nippon Business Institute’s primary mission is to help bridge the cultural gap between eastern and western cultures.
