OMCC Thank You

As a long-time resident of Marysville and Public Information Officer for the Marysville Fire District, I am writing this letter of appreciation of generosity to our community. It was heart warming to experience the donation of toys, food, and money for our families in need and/or experiencing difficult times this holiday season. Even those with little, gave what they could to better the fortune of a neighbor.

A special thanks to those behind the scenes that I had the pleasure to work next to for Operation Marysville Community Christmas (OMCC). Lillie, OMCC coordinator, truly pours her heart and soul into making sure that children and teens do not go without warm clothing and a toy for Christmas. JoAnn, Marysville Food Bank coordinator, welcomes families with food, warmth, and a smile! Belinda, Public Works Permit Coordinator, embraced the Giving Tree program and helped spread the giving spirit. There were countless organizations and service groups that teamed up for food and toy drives across the Marysville area. It was exhilarating to observe and be a part of this generosity.
It is moments like these that make Marysville a great place to live and work. Lets keep up the great work in our community.
