Be patient Even when lives are at stake?

I think it is admirable that WSDOT is concerned that someone might fall while painting graffiti on the old railroad bridge crossing I-5, south of 116th, but these people chose to put their lives in jeopardy. The residents and workers of Lakewood Commons at Smokey Point havent been afforded the luxury of choice. We are still at the mercy of sometimes blocking traffic when an aid car, fire truck or police are needed. As the holidays approach it will get worse.

CT wants a transit center in that area to take 40-60 cars off the road during each commute. We are dealing with over 25,000 cars or more in the course of a month. CT is a good thing, but why not wait until the new clover leaf is built south of twin lakes to avoid 172nd all together. In other words, be patient. Lakewood commons residents were told we needed to be patient even if lives are at stake until construction in 2009-2011.
Patience is a virtue we can ill afford. It boils down to keep an ear on what the city says. They have lied to us on more than one occasion need I say more?
