MARYSVILLE — While Marysville has several gift shows at the Ken Baxter Community Center that specialize in handcrafted goods, center coordinator Maryke Burgess didn’t want to exclude interested local vendors such as Mary Kay, Pampered Chef or Scentsy.

Six years ago, this led to the center’s first order-up gift show six years ago, which drew more than 300 attendees with 22 vendors this year, both close to the event’s usual numbers.

“The vendors enjoy being able to network with each other, and our shoppers appreciate the quality products they have to offer,” Burgess said of the Nov. 15 show.

Among this year’s more popular vendors were Jamberry Nails, Miche Bags and Lemongrass Spa Products.

“A new vendor this year was Younique Mascara, which also did well,” Burgess said. “The vendors are always happy to be here, I’m always pleased with the selection they have to offer, and I’m sure our shoppers appreciate that no one is pressuring them to do product parties.”
