TULALIP — The Boom City Swap Meet opens for its third season of business on Saturday, May 4.

The Swap Meet will run from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through June 2, after which it will close, then reopen on July 13, and then continue to run through early September.

The Boom City Swap Meet welcomes a variety of merchandise vendors, including those carrying antiques and handmade crafts, as well as an assortment of food vendors, whose fare will include traditional Native American barbecued salmon and fry bread.

“While the economy is slowly recovering, swap meets in Washington have struggled, and many have closed their doors,” said Tulalip Tribal member Les Parks, who coordinates the Boom City Swap Meet. “We opened during perhaps one of the worst possible financial scenarios, and came through with flying colors. We have generated a great deal of interest from both customers and vendors, and this year is going to be exciting and a lot of fun amidst a recovering economy.”

Admission is $1 per person, with a maximum of $2 per vehicle.

To reserve spaces, vendors can sign up at www.boomcityswapmeet.com or call 425-359-3864. Vendors will be charged $20 each to rent a space.
