Two Arlington kids, second-grader Jaiden Waud and fourth-grader Allie Ann Bigger won awards in the Horse Country Farm 2008 Essay Contest and their prize is a week of day camp at the horse ranch.
In a run-up to their camp at Western Washington University June 23-27, players from the Lakewood football team vied in a 7-on-7 passing tournament at the University of Washington.
For the second consecutive year, the Marysville Wolverines hoisted the championship trophy.
While the eighth-grade Arlington boys have proven their muster over four years of AAU play, the girls aren’t about to be overlooked.
While it’s too early to say which teams will experience bracket bliss, this game at Cedar Field promises to be gangbusters — the winner will play for the 9/10 all-star championship. Games will be going on every day from June 28 to July 11, but the semifinal should exhibit some of the district’s best Little League baseball.
