Need in the community during the holiday season and beyond was the topic of the Nov. 30 Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce Business Before Hours, as representatives of the Marysville Community Food Bank, Goodwill and Salvation Army each cited the works they’ve done on behalf of the less fortunate, and asked the surrounding community for its support.
The Marysville-Pilchuck girls basketball team had a rocky start to their season after losing the season opening game at home against Arlington High School on Wednesday, Nov. 28.
EVERETT — Traffic is again moving over the northbound lanes of the State Route 529 Snohomish River bridge days after a collision caused major structural damage. Safety concerns prompted bridge inspectors from the Washington State Department of Transportation to close the span at 3 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, until repairs could be made. Crews worked around the clock through rough weather to design and fabricate replacement parts for the 85-year-old bridge.
