Snohomish County Elections mailed ballots July 18 to more than 332,000 voters for the Aug. 6 Primary. The Aug. 6 Primary is not countywide. Voters in Edmonds, Everett and Tulalip as well as some of the surrounding areas have no races to vote on in the Primary and will not receive a ballot. The local voters’ pamphlets were mailed July 18, one per household to areas featuring a Primary race or issue.

Each year, the mission of the South Snohomish County Division of the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program is to deliver symbols of hope to the children and teens of working class, underserved and military families, from Smokey Point south to the King County line.

In order to accomplish this, though, Toys for Tots must first secure a warehouse that will allow its members to collect, sort, count and distribute the thousands of donations they receive from a community whose generosity they’ve lauded.
