She won $1,000. A portion of the balance, $500 was used to buy Christmas gifts for 31 kids in Darrington, said the clubs past president, Ken Bell. We gave the food bank the money to go buy the gifts and Santa Claus distributed those gifts Thursday night, Dec. 21., said past president Ken Bell.
