Friday the 13th lived up to its unlucky reputation for the Marysville Getchell Chargers, who fell victim to a number of mistakes that helped lead the Kamiak Knights to a 49-7 victory.
The entire roster of varsity Tomahawks had a chance to show their skills in the Thursday, Sept. 12, nonleague match against Archbishop Murphy, but a few defensive woes held them to a 3-1 loss against the Wildcats, coached by M-P head coach Paul Bartley’s brother, Michael Bartley.

ARLINGTON — The first football game of the season for Arlington’s Eagles and Marysville-Pilchuck’s Tomahawks ended with a resounding victory for the Tommies, despite an intense second quarter scoring streak for Arlington.
