MG tennis team falls in home opener

MARYSVILLE – Marysville Getchell dropped its home opener in a girls tennis match against Mariner 5-2 Thursday.

The only winners for the Chargers were:

•Megan Zimmerman was blanked in the first set 6-0, but came back to win the next two sets 6-2, 6-4 to claim the No. 3 singles title.

•At first doubles, Hannah Jones and Abby Pfeil of MG won in straight sets 7-6, 6-3.
