Local teams enter playoffs (slide show)

EVERETT — The District 1 All-Star Softball Tournaments kicked off at Phil Johnson Fields in Everett June 20.

EVERETT — The District 1 All-Star Softball Tournaments kicked off at Phil Johnson Fields in Everett June 20.

The Marysville juniors defeated Stilly Valley 22-17 in the first round of the playoffs.

In the Majors division, Stilly Valley defeated Marysville 14-6 in a loser-out game. That tournament of 9- and-10-year-olds started last week.

The 9- and 10-year-old Stilly and Marysville teams also were eliminated in loser-out games. Stilly lost 14-10 to Lakes Stevens, and Marysville lost to Alderwood 9-6.
