Lady Chargers top Eagles for the first time under Coach Grandbois

ARLINGTON — Behind 17-8 in the first quarter, the Marysville Getchell girls basketball team rallied to defeat previous Wesco 3A powerhouse Arlington 52-37 Jan. 4 in a league game. It was the first time in the program’s five-year history under MG coach Shannon Grandbois that the Chargers defeated Arlington.

MG senior Oshinaye Taylor scored a game-high 17 points. MG’s record improved to 7-4, and Arlington’s dropped to 2-8.

MARYSVILLE — The Marysville-Pilchuck boys basketball team won against Lynnwood 61-47 in a Wesco 3A league game Jan. 3. M-P freshman Luke Dobler led with 16 points. M-P improved its record to 6-5.
