Sign up now for fall sports at Arlington Boys and Girls Club

The Arlington Boys and Girls Club is holding signups for its volleyball, flag football and soccer programs from Aug. 17 through Sept. 10. Practices will begin the week of Sept. 14.

Volleyball is for boys and girls, third through eighth grade. Cost is $70. Teams will practice two nights a week with the majority of games on Saturdays.

Mother Goose Soccer is for kids ages 4-5 years. Cost is $60. Participants will practice one night a week and recieve a soccer ball and uniform. Soccer Blaster is for kids ages 6-7 years and cost $70. Teams will practice two nights a week with games on Saturdays.

Flag football is for kids ages 6-12 years and costs $80. Teams practice two nights a week with games on Saturdays.

Club Shock

tryouts announced

The Club Shock select girls basketball program will be conducting tryouts.

Its eighth grade and high school programs will be holding tryouts on Aug. 29 at the Arlington Boys & Girls Club. Eighth grade tryouts will be from 10-11:30 a.m. and from 2:30-4 p.m.

High school tryouts are noon to 1:30 p.m. and from 4-6 p.m.

Tryouts for fifth-, sixth- and seventh-grade girls are Sept. 22-24 at Haller Middle School.

Fifth and seventh grade tryouts will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Sixth grade tryouts will be from 7:30-9 p.m.
