One of the last four teams standing, the Tomahawk soccer team plays South Kitsap in the state tournament semifinal.
The teams will clash at Harry Lang Stadium in Lakewood May 29 at 6 p.m.
The undefeated Marysville-Pilchuck will face a team with more state tournament experience — the Wolves of South Kitsap, who are 13-3-1 this season, eliminated Snohomish 1-0 to advance to this game, in a rematch of the 2006 state tournament championship.
The Wolves count on their defense, which should create an interesting encounter with the Tomahawks' touted offense.
The winner of the game will advance to the state championship game May 30 at 7 p.m. against the winner of Pasco and Woodinville. The loser will play the loser of the other game in a consolation game at 3 p.m.
I'll be providing live updates of both games from my Twitter account, which will also be streamed live in the box at right.
