On the heels of winning their first state tournament game in school history, the Tomahawk soccer team is now bound for the semifinals with a 3-2 win over Issaquah.

Coming back from a 2-0 deficit, juniors John Crenshaw and Brady Ballew scored goals for M-P to tie the game and send it to a second shootout at Lake Stevens High School May 23.

Sophomore goalkeeper Kyle Bluhm came up with a block and the Tomahawk penalty kickers made their shots, eliminating the Eagles.

The Tomahawks play a semifinal game against South Kitsap May 29 at 6 p.m. Win or lose, they’ll play again May 30 — the winner goes to the championship game at 7 p.m. and the loser plays an earlier consolation game for third and fourth place against either Woodinville or Pasco at 3 p.m.
